Bought in 2017, this game was originally a Los Angeles Kings vs New York Rangers game. I changed it out to LA vs San Jose Sharks, with the help of ICE who produces the game. I bought the players, but they sent me new official decals to replace the Rangers ones on the base & on the scoreboard. So everything is official and authentic.
This unit is the older unit with standard scoreboard. The new Super Chexx Pro has a digital video scoreboard, but way more expensive. I priced out all the options I have (with exception of the new scoreboard),.
Game is in very good shape, used sparingly. Kept in garage and covered for its entire life since I've had it. Only a couple of blemishes on the dome & base, and some small cracking on the dome by the hinge rivets. I think this happened while in the cold weather in the garage. Doesn't affect game-play at all. All rods, bearings & gears work smoothly, with some needing regular maintenance. Really just need to open up the dome and adjust/clean all players and gear boxes. Really easy to do, and ICE has all replacement parts if needed for cheap! I have dome cleaner, a dome cable to hold it up while servicing the game, and also a player lifter tool.
The top part of the game comes apart from the base if needed for transport. Only 4 screws to make happen. Base also splits for fitting in doorways, but never had to take apart so not sure how that comes apart. I think it just splits when you take the top dome part off.
